Harradines' packing services & materials

At Harradines we offer full and part packing services. Packing is laborious and time consuming but it is a crucial element in any move. Our packing staff are fully trained and highly experienced in packing and removing expensive and fragile items such as china and glass, wine, paintings, antique furniture and pianos. We use only high quality packaging suitable for each item. All our boxes are double walled for extra strength and all items are covered by our extensive insurance policy.

If you'd prefer to pack some of your belongings yourself, we can supply boxes, wrapping paper and tape, free of charge, before the move. We will then collect the empty boxes after the move. Or we can unpack your boxes for you on an agreed date after the move, at a specified hourly rate.

Our services include

• Individual wrapping of all glass, china and breakables, pictures and mirrors
• Individual wrapping of all furniture with 5 ply paper/bubble furniture wraps
• Protective covers for all sofas and mattresses (standard operating procedure)
• Curtains and blinds taken down
• Clearance of lofts (if fully boarded) and cellars
• Disconnection of kitchen appliances by qualified engineers/fitters (requested in advance)
• Grand and upright piano moves
• Clothes: carried on special hanging garment carriers for immediate transfer to your new wardrobes
• Light fittings: we can replace your decorative light fittings with standard 'bulb ready' fittings (requested in advance)
• Furniture/beds: dismantling and reassembling in your new home
• Carpet protection for stairs and hallways
